ABOUT
Welcome to 'Hacienda AltaGrazia'. This amazing property is truly one of a kind. The home literally embraces happiness centered by its open courtyard where you can dine, relax or enjoy the company of family and friends. You will be welcomed by the beautiful scenery of the hill country, natural trees and tropical plants. The location is absolutely perfect — nestled just outside Wimberley on a private 3+ acre estate. Wimberley Square is 2 miles away and a 4-minute drive.
This home is hard to describe because of its uniqueness. It has been featured in numerous books and magazines. Tucked into the rugged Hill Country, the home was built with a remarkable respect for historic Spanish Colonial architecture. Classic stucco, a clay tile roof, archways, antique doors and windows, as well as hand-carved pavers in the courtyard punctuate the authenticity. Situated on a seasonal creek, the property is ideal for short or long retreats. Outdoor living is intertwined with the footprint of the hacienda, since all the interior spaces connect to a central courtyard.
The home has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. It is elegantly furnished with a fully stocked kitchen. It is perfect for the cooking enthusiasts with a professional stove and multiple ovens. For guests who want to enjoy extended stays, there is a washer and dryer.
In the courtyard, large terra cotta pots, a hammock and furnishing anchor the casual outdoor space. A spherical English fountain trickles with the soothing sound of water, while round concrete sculptures echo its shape. A set of double doors continues the tone of intrigue and ultimately leads outside to the creek, awesome pool and large fire pit.
Enjoy cooling off in the private pool while taking in the hill county views. Start the massive outdoor fire pit while grilling a late night snack to warm up those 'chilly' evenings. What a wonderful place to gather for family and friends to rekindle old memories while creating new ones.
